This advertisement by the Netherlands Burger King is an example of transfer because it connects beauty with fast food. Transfer is a propaganda technique where particular emotions and ideas that the audience get from a product or an idea is transferred to a different subject. By showing eye makeup done in the form of a burger, it brings the audience to associate the tastiness of the burger with the beauty of makeup. The burger eye makeup generates a sense of hunger and want for the burger. Therefore, this commercial uses transfer as it brings the audience to feel emotions such as want or hunger from a completely different idea, makeup. It’s highly effective as it catches the attention of the audience and at the same time encourages the purchase of the food that they’re selling.
